Studies indicate that individual qualities create it, such as: independence, confidence, self-reliance, perseverance, adventure, cooperation, flexibility, and diverse interests. It - that is, the process of innovation - is also fueled by acquired factors and abilities, including: the ability to quickly adapt and flexibly absorb situations and problems, the ability to create new relationships, and generate ideas by moving them and situations from the existing familiar to the innovative unfamiliar, with psychological and cognitive readiness and a tendency toward renewal and creativity while maintaining originality.How do we help them become innovators?!
Providing family conditions that are characterized by psychological and social stability, and providing the necessary time to raise our children, participate with them, and supervise their intellectual and innovative activities, so that they are raised with a great deal of disciplined personal freedom (affection and firmness), independence and initiative, and guiding them to control their behaviors well, and then achieve their selves.
- Parents should arouse their children's curiosity, according to their different ages, with various and appropriate activities such as pictures/stories, innovative educational tools on video and computer devices, etc., to develop in them the habit of reading, studying, seriousness and diligence, as they are the foundations of knowledge and the seeds of innovation. Despite the positive impact of television and computers, their negative impact is no secret. The phenomenon of (addiction to watching television and computer games) must be taken into account, as it hinders the process of innovation and contemplation, and hinders motor and physical growth, in addition to the excessive obesity it may cause, as proven by studies concerned with this matter.
- Rehabilitating children’s play as an important educational and cultural tool in building the character of our innovative children. Play that does not distract our children from their duties, nor exhaust them or harm them, is an opportunity to liberate them from a reality full of restrictions, and to reduce their levels of stress from the frustrations of their environment.
Our children’s world is a world where reality is mixed with free, flowing and unique imagination. It is a spring overflowing with questions, ideas and topics that seek to satisfy the desire to learn about things and the love of exploration and curiosity. Therefore, our children have the right to appropriate answers to their many questions: What is this, how, why, where and when?
- Do not forget to reward your children when they come up with new ideas, appreciating their efforts and innovations, even if they are small, and respecting and nurturing their talents adequately.
How happy, joyful and delighted it is when parents and educators find the fruits of their upbringing and the harvest of their efforts, seeing their children and grandchildren as successful, distinguished innovators, realizing themselves and contributing to the renaissance and advancement of their societies and nation.
